MP: Interview board should have members from all races

THE interview board that selects outstanding students for Public Service Department (PSD) scholarships must have representation from all races to dispel allegations of favouritism and preferential treatment, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Balik Pulau MP Yusmadi Yusoff said that the appointment of members of other races would ensure that the selection was not biased and would help reduce dissatisfaction among the public.

Yusmadi said that currently the selection of candidates for PSD scholarships was still a mystery and complaints had been received that preferential treatment was being shown in the selection.

He was speaking to reporters after meeting some students who had failed to get PSD scholarships at the Parliament lobby.
