This is the call of the party’s Klang division chief, Thiagarasan Palaniaya, aka Alex Thiagarasan.
He also said Prime Min- ister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak would have to step in to bring justice to the Indian community and the MIC.
”The MIC is a wonderful party, but Samy Vellu’s 30-year reign has sent it down the drain,” Thiagarasan told a Press conference in Klang on Friday.
“He keeps saying that the people need him, but every MIC member knows that he is not needed because of his dictatorial style and the fact that he is the judge and the jury in all MIC matters.” He also took former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to task, saying “he has failed in his duty to correct the wrongs committed by Samy Vellu during his tenure”.
Thiagarasan also lodged a police report against Samy Vellu last Friday, alleging financial loss, criminal breach of trust and misuse of power related to the Telekom Malaysia and Tenaga Nasional shares that were offered to the MIC.
