Customs has solid evidence to prosecute three companies involved in using forged Approved Permits (APs) to bring in imported cars illegally.

3 AP abusers will be charged soon

Three well-known companies, including two car importers, will be charged soon with abusing their Approved Permits (APs). 
Customs director-general Datuk Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid, who disclosed this yesterday, said the companies were “big names” and were based in the Klang Valley.

Said Yusof wants to turn tables on Customs

Datuk Mohd Said Yusof has turned the tables on the Customs Department by alleging that senior officers were involved in questionable practices involving the sale of luxury cars.
Under investigation for his “close-one-eye” request to the department over the import of logs, the Jasin MP claimed the going rate for Mercedes Benz and BMW was RM40,000.
