Kayveas fined by Malaysian Bar disciplinary board in 2005

PPP president Datuk M. Kayveas should withdraw from seeking re-election in Taiping as he had been fined RM1,500 by the Malaysian Bar disciplinary board on Nov 25, 2005, said the DAP.
National party chairman Karpal Singh said he had brought up the matter in Parliament about Kayveas, a senior lawyer, in April 2006.
He said the incumbent Taiping MP had at the time replied that he had appealed the decision.
“I wish to know the outcome of the appeal. Nowhere is it stated in the Bar Council’s Praxis publication that the punishment imposed on him had been reversed by the High Court. Until and unless it is reversed on appeal, the punishment stands.”

The appeal was allowed and the fine was reversed.
The Hua Lian school got the land and Hoh is not right in his staement.
